The Andromeda Galaxy M31

September 18, October 11, and October 18, 2025, Lichtenknecker Flatfield Camera 3.5/500 mm dual rig, RGB: 208x3 minutes with ZWO ASI 2600 MC Duo, H-Alpha: 48x10 minutes with Touptek 2600 MP and Baader 6.5nm filter, two-panel mosaic, Losmandy G11T, Southern Bavaria (Germany), Austrian & Swiss mountain locations

In the annotated image, I marked globular clusters in M31 by exporting globular clusters from the M31 Revised Bologna Clusters and Candidates Catalog and converting it into a custom catalog for PixInsight’s ImageAnnotation script. In order not to crowd the image too much, only confirmed globular clusters are shown (confirmation_flag=1 in the catalog). In total, the image contains roughly 320 confirmed globular clusters of M31, the faintest of which have blue magnitudes (bmag) of about 21 magnitutes - for example, cluster BH30 in the top right edge of the galaxy has bmag of 21.00 in the catalog.
